There is an interesting "throwaway" scene in the Battlestar Galactica episode "War of the Gods" (part 1) which premiered on January 14, 1979.  For a few seconds, a female technician in Dr. Wilker's lab is seen constructing (or perhaps repairing) a humanoid robot.  The robot in question is a prop left-over from the recently cancelled The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman - both shows featured the villainous Fembots in several (quite frankly unforgettable) episodes.

It's fun to speculate that if Battlestar Galactica had been renewed for a 2nd Season (in its original, superior format) that an ongoing storyline might have featured humanoid Robots on the loose aboard the Galactica...leading the valiant Colonials to wonder...who is Human and who is a Robot?  Was this brief scene from "War of the Gods" a partial inspiration for the Battlestar Galactica (2003 - 2009) reboot series?  ("...the Cylons were created by Man...").
